Bakewell Branch elect Zoe Wareham as Chairman for 2007

At the Bakewell Branch AGM Joyce Steele - Mayor of Bakewell retired as chair and members unanimously elected Zoe Wareham as the new branch chair for 2007. In accepting the position Zoe outlined her plans to increase visibility of the Bakewell branch in the northern part of the new Derbyshire Dales Constituency by instituting more exciting fund activities activities.

Zoe also enthusiastically described her first visit to Federal Conference and in particular the excellent debate on the taxes based on the Policy paper 75 - Fairer, Simpler, Greener.

Marija Nicholson appealed to the members to support the Campaign to Save Stoney Middleton School where both her daughter, Paige and Jayne Hobson's son Daniel are happy and successful pupils.

After a hotpot supper prepared by Marija and Jayne Stuart Bray - Regional Campaigns Director lead a discussion on campaigning with the new Green Tax Switch Policy.
