Another winter of discontent
This graphic from a Guardian article is both informative and profoundly depressing. It is clear that people are striking not from greed but from a sense of desperation. This government does not listen. Our nation is in a crisis that has been brewing for years. A series of wounds that have been festering through the intransigence and incompetence of this government have finally overwhelmed our ability to heal.
This Tory government is more concerned about remaining in power than in sane governance.
Unbelievable amounts of money were thrown at hastely contrived companies providing PPE (personal protective equipment - big words for aprons and gloves) set up by mates of Ministers. Yet when the very people who wear this equipment, day in day out, say they can't carry on, that the system is irretrievably broken and they are on their knees with exhaustion, the government turns it's back and says no more money is available.
We should be shouting from the roof tops about the overt hypocrisy of the Conservative Party. Where is the money for workers struggling to pay bills?
At the same time we hear that Boris Johnson has just been given £1 million by a Conservative donor. For what? Probably to line the coffers for another narcissistic attempt at the leadership of the Conservative Party.
