Whilst the majority of the British electorate is trying to work out how to pay their bills and definitely aren't consumed by concerns of how to heat their private swimming pools, Rishi Sunak swans around in private jets as if it's a birthright!

Disparities in wealth can give some mortals a sense of reality and a realization that they have landed on the easy side of life. But the patronizing, cheery way Sunak bats away questions over his gargantuan wealth shows that his empathy for others is as slender as his couture suits and probably as durable. The Tories have pretended to embrace a 'green' agenda and a conviction to de-carbon Britain but their hypocrisy leaves a vapour trail in its wake. Rishi eating some veggie snack on board yet another private flight to nowhere useful, is proof not only of his dislocation from everyone else's reality but also the easy hypocrisy of the Tories.

Their sense of entitlement is legendary and pervasive. We need to rid ourselves of this contagion of smugness that permeates the upper echelons of the Tory Party.
