23 Feb 2022

Lib Dem Coucillors in Matlock have been distributing leaflets publicising the 'Derbyshire Floods Hardship Fund' that Derbyshire County Council has reinstated, to make £20,000 available to help residents and businesses affected by recent flooding.

Businesses with 50 employees or less, whose premises were flooded, are able to apply for a one-off payment of up to £500. The fund is designed to support businesses with any immediate or short-term loss of income or cash flow impact, in order to aid recovery whilst insurance claims are completed.

All claims will be considered on a case by case basis.

Please go to the Derbyshire County Council website… www.derbyshire.gov.uk and click on 'Apply for financial flooding help'.

Help and advice can also be sought from Business Advisors from the D2N2 Growth Hub. Details can be found at … www.d2n2growthhub.co.uk.
