Last chance to comment on proposed ward boundaries

Some number checking by Lib Dem members Cllr David Hughes and Peter Dobbs enabled a halt to be called on some controversial proposals by the Local Government Boundary Commission of England (LGBCE) back in July. We highlighted the issues in this article.

The LGBCE have published their revised scheme found here. Unfortunately, although they have addressed some of the arithmetic errors, they have retained several of the controversial features that we flagged up in July.

Our detailed response can be found here and we welcome comments, especially from those who live in the affected areas.

However as with any revision of this kind, it is unlikely that everyone is going to get exactly what they want!
