The new Chair is Claire Cadogan. The Honorary President is Trevor Boam, Treasurer Henry Jebb, Secretary Midge Dobbs, Vice Chair Asher Bond and Data Officer Peter Dobbs We are still seeking nominations for Membership Secretary, a post we hope to fill in the new year.

On her election Claire Cadogan said "I'm really delighted to take on the role of local party Chair for the next year and want to thank the outgoing Chair Pat Wildgoose for all her hard work with the party.

For those Lib Dems that I have yet to meet perhaps I can tell you a little about myself.

I've lived in Derbyshire since 2012, having moved here when my husband started working at Chatsworth. Moving to this part of Derbyshire was a real return to my roots for me as my father grew up in Baslow. I have strong memories of visiting my grandparents there when I was little - walks up to the Eagle Stone, and of nipping to Hawleys (now the Spar) with Dad, so it was a lovely coincidence to move here with my husband's job.

I've two teenage sons and a 12 year old daughter and I work as a business consultant. Over the years I've worked with all kinds of businesses, from small start ups to major organisations and I'm lucky enough to be able to do this work from home (even before Covid made this obligatory). I'm also a governor of Pilsley C of E Primary School.

I look forward to working with the local Lib Dem team to continue to campaign for the things that matter to local people here in the Dales."

Outgoing Chair Pat Wildgoose said "Thank you to everyone for their support. This has not been an easy year and members and officers have worked hard to keep things going during the pandemic. Special thanks to Sam Lewis our Treasurer who is retiring from the post this year and to Cllr Martin Burfoot who is standing down as Membership Secretary. Both have been key figures in the Local Party and we are very grateful for all their hard work."
