Robert Court with officers for 2023

The Derbyshire Dales Lib Dem's AGM was held 0n 10th November at what is a new venue for us - the Riber Room at Matlock's Imperial Rooms. This proved to be a great venue with all the facilities we needed.

Minutes of the meeting with all the reports can be found here.

As well as reports presented by councillors and members from across the Dales, elections were held to appoint officers and members to the Executive Committee. They are responsible for running the local party.

The following were elected for these roles;

Chair Claire Cadogan

Vice Chair Martin Burfoot

Secretary Midge Dobbs

Treasurer Henry Jebb

Elections Officer Peter Dobbs

Diversity Champion Jane Dent

Membership Development Officer Position vacant

Member Monty Monteith

Member Pat Wildgoose

Member Derek Woodward

The new constitution for local parties was also voted on, with unanimous acceptance. There are several significant changes in this new constitution and Henry Jebb outlined them at the meeting.

A summary can be found here and the complete constitution here.

Jane Dent ran a stall selling her hand made lino cut cards and prints and there was a raffle. Over £130 was raised for local party funds.

Robert Court, who will contest the Derbyshire Dales parliamentary seat at the next General Election, was the final speaker at the meeting. He shared his thoughts on the key policy points that we should be emphasising which included the Environment, the Economy and the impact of Brexit.
