Claire Cadogan
Claire Cadogan became a LibDem because she feels passionately about fairness in society.
She says, “I am infuriated with how the County Council has been run under the Tories. They have mismanaged the budgets and cut vital services such as care homes. The provision of SEND services to local children and their families is abysmal, and highways management has meant that Derbyshire has more potholes than any other county in the UK!
"I am determined to do what I can to make our corner of the world a better place, and to ensure that our Liberal Democrat values – the values of reasonable people – are properly represented in Bakewell.”
Claire lives in Edensor. She is a management consultant who runs her own business advising small and medium sized enterprises. She is a school governor, a charity trustee, sits on her church parish council and has actively fundraised for various charities, as well as juggling family life with three children.
