Henmore Brook polluted by 1881 hours of storm overflow in 2022
During 2022 this sewage works spilled untreated sewage into a small brook 127 times for a total of 1881 hours - the equivalent of 78 days non-stop.

Have JCB dropped a spanner in the Council’s plans?
As close observers of planning applications* in Derbyshire Dales will have noticed, there has been a significant addition to the documents associated with a major application for a total of 469 homes on the old airfield site near Ashbourne. This is application 19/01274/FUL and its subsequent incarnations put forward by the developers Harrisons with David Wilson Homes / Barratt Homes.

Editorial Freedoms
Anyone with no interest in football and not a regular consumer of Match of the Day (MOTD), may have been perplexed at the outrage created by the BBC telling Gary Linekar to take 'gardening leave', or whatever euphemism is used these days. Even if football really isn't your thing, it is significant that the BBC asked a freelance presenter, such as Linekar, to cease and desist from using their own personal social media account, to say something critical about the government.
